Department of Health

Blood Matters has compiled subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIg) clinical practice guidance documents. Resources to help Victorian health services implement SCIg programs have been included and will be added to as more information become available.

SCIg promotional posters

Do you have patients with an immunodeficiency or chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy?

These A3 posters are designed to be displayed in patient waiting rooms to promote the conversation about SCIg as a potential therapy.

Resources to use with patients

Do your eligible patients know about SCIg?

Try asking them. Use the Blood Matters patient conversation starter, or this letter designed by Eastern Health to mail out to your eligible patients, and find out who may be interested in transitioning to SCIg.

Is your patient planning an overseas holiday?

Our SCIg travel guide will help you prepare any patients who are planning to take their SCIg product on an overseas holiday.

Resources for health services considering a SCIg program

Presentation, flowchart and business case template to help health services get started with SCIg.

SCIg presentation

Blood Matters has produced a PowerPoint presentation entitled SCIg: getting started. The presentation is intended to be used as an educational tool within health services and can be edited to include information specific to individual organisations.

SCIg flowchart

The SCIg program - Getting started flowchart works with the presentation to help your organisation know if it is SCIg ready.

SCIg business case

Need a SCIg business case? This business case template can be adapted to individual organisations to support the development or expansion of a SCIg program where needed.

Clinical practice guidance template

The clinical practice guidance template has been designed to:

  • provide health services with the necessary information to implement a SCIg program.
  • assist health services in the development of the necessary governance documents that will facilitate safe administration of SCIg according to the manufacturers’ instructions (product information).
