Summary of ten most frequently reported birth defects in Victoria 2003-2004

The Victorian Birth Defects Register has collected information on birth defects in all reported pregnancies occurring in Victoria since January 1st, 1982. The maintenance of this register is an ongoing function of the Victorian Perinatal Data Collection Unit at The Department of Human Services. One of its many functions is to provide information to those concerned about having a baby with a birth defect.
