A new drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation service will be established at 2 – 64 Greta Road, Wangaratta.
Planning is in its early stages and it is expected that building will commence in 2020 and that the service will be operational in 2020-21.
An initial community information session was held on 17 July to provide more information about the new service and give local community members the opportunity to ask questions.
A second drop-in community information session will be held at The Centre, 17 Chisholm Street, Wangaratta from 4-7pm on Wednesday 4 September 2019. The Department of Health and Human Services invite local residents to join us for some light refreshments while viewing initial plans for the site.
Staff from the Department of Health and Human Service and the Victorian Health and Human Services Building Authority will be available on the evening to answer questions about the design, planning and establishment of the new service. Employees from Gateway Health, the service provider, will also be available to discuss the operation of the 30-bed adult facility.
If you would like to attend, please register your attendance online or text your name and “Wangaratta residential rehabilitation” to 0429 661 891.
