Review of the Standardised Student Induction Protocol

In 2014 the department established the Advisory Group on Standardised Student Induction (AGSSI) to provide a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral mechanism to inform and support the development of statewide consensus and guidelines for inducting students into organisations for clinical placements and training.

In consultation with AGSSI, the department is currently developing a student induction protocol that aims to guide a standardised approach to the induction and orientation of students at a range of settings and placement types.

The protocol clarifies responsibilities and suggests suitable resources to assist, where appropriate, to streamline administration for all parties.
