Making a complaint about a Victorian health practitioner or other healthcare worker

  • Complaints about registered health practitioners may be made to either the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner.
  • Complaints about healthcare workers who are not registered may be made to the Health Complaints Commissioner.

Anyone can make a complaint about the performance or conduct of a healthcare worker.

Complaints about registered health practitioners

Make your complaint about a registered health practitioner either to the:

  • Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, or
  • Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner.

Complaints about other healthcare workers

Make your complaint about an unregistered healthcare worker to the Health Complaints Commissioner.
