The best thing for me personally is when the patient, trauma patients, come in from an accident or anything, you watch them progress but then when they leave and go to rehab, they'll come back and they'll thank you. That makes it all worthwhile.

I can go home at the end of the day and truly believe that I've actually made a difference to someone during the day, even if it's only one patient.

Nurse patient ratios are vital. Without those ratios they wouldn't get the care they deserve and, not only that, their outcomes wouldn't be the same.
