The purpose of the Independent Medical Advisory Committee (IMAC) is to provide information and advice to the Minister for Health and the Secretary to the Department of Health & Human Services.

This advice may include, but is not limited to, information about medicinal cannabis products and medicinal cannabis regulation.

The Independent Medical Advisory Committee, is chaired by Professor James Angus AO and includes a range of specialist physicians and experts in:

  • Pharmacology
