If the parent/carer tells you that their child’s Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement is incorrect, and that the child has been given vaccines that are not recorded on the statement:
To enrol
Do not enrol this child until the acceptable documentation is provided, unless the child is eligible for the grace period (see below).
Advise parent/carer to contact the doctor or immunisation nurse who administered the vaccine/s, and confirm that the doctor/immunisation nurse has informed the AIR of all vaccines administered.
Give the parent contact details for the AIR.
Once they have confirmed that details of all vaccines administered have been conveyed to the AIR, parents/carers should request an updated Immunisation History Statement from AIR.
The parent will need to provide the updated Immunisation History Statement to your service.

You should provide the parent/carer with information on how to obtain an AIR statement and/or necessary vaccinations.
