Composite data reports are based on data obtained from many different sources to help describe the health of Victorians. These sources include health registers, surveillance and notification systems, health service administrative data, population health surveys, epidemiological studies and in some instances expert opinion.
These data have sometimes been used to model estimates where Victorian data is unavailable, and then organised and presented to provide a comprehensive view of the health of Victorians.
