Vaccination program for adults

Vaccination is offered to eligible adults in Victoria under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) and Victorian funded programs.

All immunisation providers should report administration of all vaccines to the Australian Immunisation RegisterExternal Link .

Vaccine recommendations in pregnancy

Pregnant women are routinely recommended to receive the following vaccinations to protect them and their babies from serious infection:

Refer to Vaccination for women who are planning pregnancy, pregnant or breastfeedingExternal Link .

Refer to the Australian Immunisation HandbookExternal Link for guidance on other inactivated vaccines that are not routinely recommended during pregnancy but may be considered in special circumstances. Live attenuated viral vaccines are contraindicated (should not be given) during pregnancy.
