A Safewards Victoria Community of Practice was established to implement and sustain the Safewards model by supporting and sharing knowledge and resources between services across Victoria embarking on the Safewards journey.
The Community of Practice is wholly coordinated and organised by its members and meets four times a year. The Community of Practice provides a supportive environment to discuss ideas and challenges related to implementing Safewards.
New participants from services engaged in implementing Safewards are always welcome at the Community of Practice.
If you are interested in participating in the Community of Practice please contact the Safewards Coordinator within the Office of the Chief Mental Health Nurse via the contact details provided or you can join directly through the Department’s portal.
As an additional support, Safewards UK has an online forum, Facebook page, and Twitter account to link you to the international Safewards community.
How to join the Safewards Community of Practice
- Click on ‘Register’
- Complete the required fields (we suggest you don’t use any personal email addresses)
- When you’re finished, click ‘Register’
- An email will be sent to the email address you provided asking you to confirm the address
- That’s it!
