The department has developed a concise fact sheet of ‘frequently asked questions’ posed by consumers of mental health services about outcome measurement.
The fact sheet, Outcome measurement in mental health services: frequently asked questions – some sticky points, provides clinicians with information on applying specific rating instruments to different age cohorts in different clinical settings.
It includes advice on dealing with consumers who refuse to engage with the collection of outcome measures, those who are transferring between service settings, the influences of alcohol and drug taking on outcome measurements, and other common challenges.
